Two of my favorite things are adventure and photography, and this surprise proposal was both! Chris had chosen a frozen lake at a resort in VT. I drove up with my second shooter, Tristin Houck Photography (Check out his work linked below!). We arrived early and parked on the opposite side of the lake. We both laced up our skates and proceeded to skate across to get into hiding position.
Just when I thought I could not endure the cold any longer, Chris and Jamie skated out onto the lake. Tristin and I bolted from position and began skating behind them with cameras ready. With flawless skill, Chris dropped down on one knee on SKATES and asked his girl to marry him. The moment was breathtaking.
We celebrated by going inside to the cozy fire as soon as possible and continued with some photos.
