Ya'll, keeping this surprise proposal was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do! When my brother came to me and told me his plan, I was beyond thrilled to be the photographer!
Ronnie is a music producer (if you have not checked out his music you NEED TO!). His now fiance, Joanna, enjoys writing poetry. Naturally, they wrote a song together. Ronnie rented out one of their favorite coffee shops to record a "music video." I was there as a photographer on set. Unknown to Joanna, Ronnie had taken a poem she wrote him and turned it into a song, talk about romantic!! Once everything was set up, and some content photos were taken, we were ready to "start" the recording. Ronnie asked Joanna to dance with him. As she happily entered his arms, Ronnie turned to his friend and asked, "Hey, can you play that other song?"
Music filled the room as they danced under the string lights. The fire was blazing warm behind them on the chilly winter's day. As the music declared "Never stop loving me", Ronnie dropped down on one knee and asked the love of his life to marry him. With tears and a yes, Ronnie swept her up into his arms and the music swelled to envelop them. It was the most beautiful, intimate, perfectly executed proposal I have ever had the joy of being a part of!
We then took some time to walk around downtown Troy and take some photos in the snow! I mean, look how cute they are! This was a photoshoot I will cherish forever.
